Harner's college football top 10: "I'm not sure why I haven't thought to post this on here before now, but I haven't. Each week, I submit my top 10 to Uwire for their weekly top 10 poll, which generally comes out on Tuesday. From here on out, I'll be posting my submission for the Falcon faithful.

I don't choose my top 10 based on future expectations, I choose it on the results of the season so far, which is why my top 10 looks a lot different than most people's. You may have recently heard about the guy from the Plain Dealer who uses the same philosophy. In fact, I was the only person in the Uwire poll not to rank Florida No. 1 last week. So without further ado, here is my top 10 after Week 4.

Men's basketball names new assistant coach: "BG Men's basketball coach Louis Orr has announced the addition of Dennis Hopson to his 2009-10 season coaching staff. Hopson, a Toledo native, formerly worked as an assistant coach at Northwood University, in West Palm Beach, Florida.

In his two years at Northwood, Hopson helped the team achieve a 54-14 record on route to back-to-back Florida Sun Conference Championships.

As a player Hopson won an NBA title with the 1991 Chicago Bulls, and also had stints with the New Jersey Nets and the Sacramento Kings after his collegiate career at Ohio State.

Miller receives two year extension

Miller receives two year extension: "Women's basketball coach Curt Miller has signed a two-year extension, keeping him with the Falcon program through the 2015 season, the University announced this morning.

Miller has placed BG on the women's basketball map, compiling a 179-73 in his eight season as coach and helping advance the team to the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament in 2007.

The team has also won the last six Mid-American Conference regular season championships.

'What
Curt, his staff and teams have accomplished is remarkable,' said athletic director Greg
Christopher. 'First they built a program, and now it has been sustained
at a championship level. How Curt and his staff manage every aspect of
their team is top-notch. We look forward to Curt being a part of BGSU
for years to come.'

Miller has also been named the conference's Coach of the Year for five straight seasons. And after falling just short of the MAC Tournament title last season, the team is expected by many to be even better this season.

'I

administration for their commitment and support of our women's
basketball program,' Miller said. 'I am excited about our future and
look forward to sharing my extension news with recruits and their
families.
